Timber Creek, Highland Set For High School Football Playoffs
Timber Creek and Highland will each host a playoff football game Friday night.
GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — Two Black Horse Pike Regional High School district football teams begin their quests for a championship this weekend.
Timber Creek is the No. 3 seed in the NJSIAA Central Jersey Group 3 playoffs, according to Gridiron New Jersey. The Chargers will host No. 6 Raritan in the quarterfinals on Friday, Nov. 8, 7 p.m. The winner plays the winner of the game between No. 2 Rumson-Fair Haven and No. 7 Delsea in the semifinals.
Wall is the No. 1 seed in the group and will host No. 8 Robbinsville in the quarterfinals. No. 4 Burlington Township will play No.5 Lacey.

Highland is the No. 3 seed in the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 4 playoffs, according to Gridiron New Jersey. The Tartans will host No. 6 Long Branch in the quarterfinals on Friday, Nov. 8, 7 p.m. The winner plays the winner of the game between No. 2 Mainland and No. 7 Ocean City in the semifinals.
Shawnee is the No. 1 seed in the group and will host No. 8 Neptune in the quarterfinals. No. 4 Clearview will play No. 5 Millville.

Timber Creek is 5-3 this season, and picked up a 41-0 win at Atlantic City before the playoff cutoff on Friday night. The Chargers have 16.75 power points and a strength index of 76.39. For an explanation of the new playoff system, visit nj.com.
Raritan is also 5-3 this season, but has lost two of its last three games following a three-game winning streak in the middle of the year. Raritan has 11.63 power points and a strength index of 71.44.
Highland is 6-2 this season, including a 49-7 victory over Paul VI in the final game before the playoff cutoff Friday night. The Tartans have 17.25 power points and a strength index of 76.66.
Long Branch is 3-5, but is coming off a 26-21 win over St. John Vianney Friday night. Long Branch has 14.13 power points and a strength index of 67.84.
Triton is 2-6 and didn’t qualify for the playoffs. The Mustangs will host Egg Harbor Township (3-5) in a regional crossover game on Friday, Nov. 14, 7 p.m., according to Max Preps.
