Triton High School Grad Killed In Head-On Collision Supported Cancer Charities
Funeral services for Richard Mason are set for Saturday in Hammonton.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — A Triton Regional High School graduate who was killed in a head-on collision on Sicklerville Road Sunday evening had a passion for supporting charity events to benefit cancer patients, according to his online obituary.
Richard Mason, 53, of Winslow Township, was passionate about supporting the cause and his wife, Maria, who lost her battle with the disease.
Mason was one of four people killed in an accident on Sicklerville Road between Dunlin Way and Mullen Drive at about 5 p.m. on Sunday. He lived on the same street as the driver of the other car involved in the accident, 43-year-old Panagioti Ramoundos.

Ramoundos and his parents, 77-year-old Demetrios and 80-year-old Anastasia, were also killed in the accident, which remained under investigation by the Gloucester Township Police Department Friday morning.
In addition to Triton Regional High School, Mason graduated from the Cittone Institute in Mt. Laurel, and he served in the Army Reserve. He loved dogs, Halloween, the music of local bands and sports.

He was also predeceased by his brother Harry. He is survived by his mother Lucille Mason, his brothers Tom (Brina) and Chris (Tina), his brother in law Louis Conte (Eileen) and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
His viewing is set for Saturday, Oct. 14, noon, followed by funeral services at the Marinella Funeral Home, 102 North Third Street in Hammonton. Burial will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hammonton.

Mason was on his way to work at the time of the accident. He had been working at Tractor Supply Co. in Sicklerville, where he had been working for about a month. Family members said he was starting to turn the corner after his wife died eight years ago.
Services for the Ramoundos family members are scheduled for Monday, Oct. 16.
