Enjoy live music and art all over Collingswood during Second Saturday in Collingswood, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. July 10. Second Saturday was started by a collection of store owners that had an interest in promoting the arts in Collingswood. Each month from March to December, visitors can plan a night on the town to experience the unique arts, music, shopping and dining Collingswood is known for. The Haddonfield Plays & Players present the Music of Carole King starring Michelle Foster at 8 p.m. Friday night. Barrington’s only food truck/beer garden festival returns this summer, hosted again by the Barrington Civic Association. Barrington Brews, Beats and Eats takes place from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. July 10 in the St. Francis Parking Lot. They’re going to have Miller Lite, Yuengling, and 3 Flying Fish Brewing Company IPAs on tap. In addition, they’ll have a Tito’s Handmade Vodka electric lemonade, a Malibu bay breeze and Black Box Cab or Pinot options. The Perkins Center for the Arts in Collingswood is hosting the Persephone Rising Exhibition now through July 16 at 30 Irvin Avenue in Collingswood. From darkness and uncertainty springs light and life through creativity. Like Persephone emerging from Hades toward spring; we rise from the challenges of this time, revealing here the very harvest of our hope renewed. Artists in this exhibit include Terri Amig, Penny Beck, Peg Belcastro, Grayce DeNoia Bochak, Kimberly Camp, Jacqueline Boyd, Chloe Pinero, Jacqueline Sandro Greenwell, Molly Sanger Carpenter, Margot Taylor, and Annelies Van Dommelen.
