Camden High Security Guard Charged in Alleged Sex with Student

Damen L. Sanders allegedly paid for sex with a student on at least two occasions this month, authorities said.

A Camden High School security guard faces sexual assault and other charges after authorities say he had sex with an underage student, on several occasions for money, at the school this month.

Damen L. Sanders, 45, of Gloucester City, was charged Thursday with a single count of second-degree official misconduct and three counts each of second-degree sexual assault, fourth-degree criminal sexual contact and third-degree prostitution.

On at least three occasions through the first two weeks of November, Sanders had sexual contact with the student on the high school’s grounds, Camden County Prosecutor Warren W. Faulk said.

Sanders paid the student on two of those occasions, Faulk said.

The Camden County Police Department was called in after school officials notified them of an alleged relationship between Sanders and the student, and the department’s investigation into the alleged incidents led to the arrest, Faulk said.
