“We are honored to have former Flyer and current Camden County resident Kimmo Timonen volunteering his time and talents to offer this incredible opportunity to some very excited participants,” Camden County Freeholder Deputy Director Ed McDonnell said. “Adaptive sports clinics allow participants with disabilities to receive hands-on knowledge and understanding of the sport of their choice. In doing so they develop assurance and self-reliance, not only in learning a new skill, but in every other aspect of their lives.”

Timonen played for the Flyers from 2007-2014, and helped lead the team to the Stanley Cup Finals in 2010. They lost to the Chicago Blackhawks in six games that year. Five years later, he won the Stanley Cup as a member of the Blackhawks.
