Haddon Township Man In His 40s Dies Due To Coronavirus
A Haddon Township man in his 40s was one of six new Camden County coronavirus deaths reported on Monday.
HADDON TOWNSHIP, NJ — A Haddon Township man in his 40s has died after testing positive for the coronavirus, Camden County officials announced on Monday. He was one of six new coronavirus-related deaths reported in Camden County that took place between Saturday and Monday.
There have now been 1,190 coronavirus-related deaths in Camden County since the pandemic began more than a year ago.
“Even as we continue to increase vaccinations and slow the spread of COVID-19, we are still losing lives to this disease. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families,” Camden County Commissioner Director Louis Cappelli Jr. said. “The pandemic has been long and incredibly difficult, but we may finally be nearing the end of this crisis. The only way to prevent future flare-ups of the virus is for everyone who still hasn’t gotten vaccinated to get their shot. The vaccines are safe, effective, free, and more available than ever.”

The following information is currently available regarding these most recent deaths in Camden County:
- A Camden man in his 80s;
- A Somerdale man in his 80s;
- A Haddon Township man in his 40s;
- A Merchantville man in his 90s;
- A Cherry Hill woman in her 70s; and
- A Stratford man in his 90s.
There were also 167 new coronavirus cases reported countywide during the same period. As of Monday, there have been 48,888 coronavirus cases in Camden County, including 972 in Haddon Township since the pandemic began. Trace investigations are being facilitated with the patients and remain ongoing, officials said.

There have been 2,357 cases and 462 deaths among residents at the county’s 56 long-term care facilities. There have been 1,384 cases and seven deaths among staff members at these facilities.
The county Health Department is currently working to trace close contacts of these newest cases. The investigations are still ongoing.
To date, 445,149 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in Camden County. There are 252,865 people with at least one vaccine dose, and 211,020 people who are fully vaccinated.
