Haddonfield Among Safest Places To Raise A Child In America

HADDONFIELD, NJ — South Jersey is home to one of the 50 safest cities in America to raise a child, according to a recent report.

Haddonfield is ranked as the 39th on the list of 50 Safest Towns in America To Raise a Child, according to safewise.com. The website determined its list of safest cities by averaging factors such as violent crimes, AMBER Alerts, sex offenders, child abuse, school quality, pedestrian deaths, walkability score, and state free-range parenting legislation.

Safewise gave Haddonfield an overall safety score of 79.61 out of 100. Its walkability score is 72 out of 100 and its violent crime score is 0.17.

Madison is ranked as the safest place in New Jersey to raise a child, and was 19th overall. Westwood, Tenafly, Ridgefield, Highland Park, Cedar Grove, Verona, New Providence and Raritan also made the list.
