Haddonfield Baseball Team Off To 4-0 Start

The Bulldawgs most recently squeaked out a win over Collingswood, according to nj.com.

HADDONFIELD, NJ - The Haddonfield Memorial High School baseball team is unbeaten through four games this season, according to box scores and stories posted by nj.com.

Dylan Heine struck out seven batters and allowed just one hit in five innings of work to pick up the win in the Bulldawgs’ 6-1 season opening win at Haddon Heights.

Heine then struck out nine batters and allowed six hits in a complete game 5-0 victory over West Deptford on April 10. He and Alex Kadar each had two hits, including a double, in the win.

Jakob Slimbock also went the distance, striking out six batters and allowing three hits, in a 6-1 win over Sterling on April 11. Chris Brown went 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI at the plate. Kadar was 1-for-3 with a walk and two RBI.

Things were a little more difficult in a 6-5 win over Collingswood. Haddonfield built a 5-1 lead over the first six innings, but the Panthers rallied in the seventh, tying the score with a three-run homer by Alex Margot. In the bottom of the frame, Steve DiTomaso lead off with a walk, then scored the winning run on a pair of Collingswood errors.

Haddonfield returns to the diamond on Thursday, when it hosts Haddon Township, which was 4-1 ahead of its scheduled game with Collingswood on Tuesday.
