Haddonfield Baseball Team Plays For Sectional Title Friday

Haddonfield advanced to the South Jersey Group 2 final with a win over Haddon Heights on Tuesday, according to nj.com.

HADDONFIELD, NJ — The Haddonfield Memorial High School baseball team will play for a sectional title on Friday.

The top-seeded Bulldawgs advanced to the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 2 final with an 11-4 win over No. 5 Haddon Heights in the semifinals, according to nj.com.

Haddonfield will host No. 2 West Deptford, a 2-1 winner over No. 6 Cedar Creek in the semifinals, on Friday, May 31. A time has not yet been set.

Chris Brown picked up the win for Haddonfield, striking out four batters and allowing five hits against Haddon Heights. Chris Mariani was 2-for-3 with three RBI for Haddonfield. Dylan Heine was 2-for-4 with a double, a triple and an RBI.

Haddonfield brings a 22-3 record into the final, according to nj.com. In the first round, Haddonfield defeated No. 16 Lower Cape May, 4-1, according to nj.com. In the quarterfinals, Haddonfield defeated No. 9 Sterling, 9-0.
