HADDONFIELD, NJ — The Haddonfield boys captured their third straight NJSIAA Group 2 State cross country title and 18th state title overall Saturday, Nov. 16 at Holmdel Park. The Bulldogs triumphed by 61 points over second place Bernards, 29-80, as well as the 18 other teams in the field.

Seniors Martin Riddell and Andrew Gostovich led the way with second and third place finishes overall. Senior Stephen Kasko also medaled in sixth place, while sophomore Seth Clevenger and his brother Caleb, a junior, took 11th and 17th respectively to complete the scoring for the team. Senior Grayson Fasolo and junior John Hurly also competed on the varsity squad.

Next up for Haddonfield is the Meet of Champions on Saturday, Nov. 23, also at Holmdel. This marks the 34th appearance by the team at the MOC, a South Jersey record. Hopes are high, as the team's combined average time at Group States of 16:34 for the 5k distance tied for third best in the entire state of New Jersey, and was a record for the State Group 2 race.
