Haddonfield Crew Rocks the Frostbite Regatta
It was the best showing of the year for the Bulldawgs.

The Haddonfield Crew team had its best showing of the year Saturday at the Frostbite Regatta at Cooper River Park.
The race lived up to its name, with chilly temperatures and a stiff wind. But that didn't stop Haddonfield from placing five boats into top-three finishes, including two gold medals.
The men’s varsity rowers dominated in their races. The Varsity 4 (including seniors Ruggiero/Gangemi/Eggstein/Lario/Gallwitz-cox) won gold early in the day and went on to join the Varsity 8 (Hurd/Epstein/Eggstein/Dye/Ruggiero/Gangemi/Levin/Lario/Gallwitz-cox) for another gold medal performance, beating 27 boats in the men’s Varsity 8 category and showing the 8th best time in the entire regatta, which included collegiate rowers.

The women’s Varsity 4 (Stasi/Fisher/Schlitt/Donohue/Kane-cox) got the day off to a good start with a third place finish in their heat. The women’s Novice 8 (Murphy/Bolletino/Cooper/Palavage/Huber/Hohweiler/Loue/Campo/Tranfalia-cox) also had a strong third-place finish. The men’s JV 8 (Small/Reese/Graves/O’Brien/Giangiulio/Howe-Smith/Sperandio/Schmitt/Hart-cox) rowed to a second place finish.
Haddonfield returned to the Cooper River on Sunday for the Bill Braxton Regatta. The men’s Varsity 8 rowed to a strong finish in the time trials to qualify among six boats for the finals. But, the finals and three other races for Haddonfield were cancelled because of heavy winds.
