Haddonfield Little League Wins District 13 Championship

Haddonfield Little League's 10/11-year-old all star team won the District 13 Championship Friday with a 12-0 shutout of Collingswood.

So last night the boys came out gunning… they mercy-ruled Collingswood 11-0! Three of our guys (RJ, Luke and Gav) hit huge homers and Gav threw an amazing shutout! Collingswood was the only team we lost (5-6) to during the six team tournament,  then both Collingswood and Haddonfield advanced to the best out of 3. Haddonfield lost game one (5-6) in wrenching extra innings (again!) to Collingswood.  Thursday, they won game two (10-6) and last night they came out crushing the ball, with few errors and some truly awesome fielding!

Are they really only 11?!(Don’t know how long the nerves of all the parents and grandparents will last!)

They are so pumped up… all proudly wearing their district pins on their hats!

The best part is that besides being  hard workers, they are truly a great group of kind “little men” who really just love to play ball… Got to love it!(now a group of them is decompressing by fishing down at Hopkins Pond)

They are now off to the sectional round. They play again Wednesday somewhere down by the shore… we are waiting on details.
