Haddonfield, Oaklyn Restaurants Named 'Best Of Philly'

Philadelphia Magazine's Best of Philly list for 2019 is out, and Haddonfield and Oaklyn each have a winner.

The annual list was recently published and features many businesses, services, and more in and around Philadelphia.

Valente's Italian Specialties at 7 Kings Court in Haddonfield won the "Best Specialty Food Shop" award. Here's what the magazine said about the spot:

"Shopkeeper Marcello De Feo couldn’t find a place to get the Abruzzo-inspired fare he grew up eating, so he went ahead and opened one up. There’s fresh-made cheese, house-baked breads, handmade pastas, and a Vetri Family alum manning the pizza oven."

Aunt Berta's Kitchen at 639 White Horse Pike in Oaklyn took home the "Best Soul Food" honor. See what they said about the business:

"Whole fried chicken, Cajun-spiced wings, fish and grits, pig’s feet with collard greens and potato salad — any home-style soul food you’re craving can be found at Berta’s."
