Haddonfield's Wedgewood Swimming Edges Pheasant Run for Championship

Haddonfield's Wedgewood Swim Club team edged Pheasant Run Swim Club Saturday to retain the Division A Tri-county Championship, local supporters said.

The meet came down to the final race.

After the individual events, and before the freestyle relays for each age group, Wedgewood, a club consisting only of Haddonfield residents, was 30 points down to Pheasant Run, which draws members from Moorestown, Cinnaminson, Haddonfield and surrounding towns. Wedgewood kids won eight of the final 11 freestyle relays, to keep the crown.

Wedgewood is coached by Jim Villa.
