Haddonfield's Candlelight Shopping Contending For USA Today Award
Haddonfield's Candlelight Shopping event has been nominated as a 'Best Holiday Market' by USA Today's 10Best Reader's Choice travel awards.
HADDONFIELD, NJ — Haddonfield's Candlelight Shopping event has been nominated as a ‘Best Holiday Market’ by USA Today’s 10Best Reader’s Choice travel awards, the Partnership for Haddonfield announced.
Voting will take place online daily through Dec. 7. Votes can be cast every day, once a day for this prestigious accolade. The leaderboard is continuously updated as votes are cast on a daily basis and is even complete with blurbs and photos on each nominee. Ten winners will be announced Dec. 18.
USA Today’s 10Best provides users with original, unbiased, and experiential travel content on top attractions, sights, activities, and restaurants at top destinations in the United States and around the world.

The USA Today competition, created by a team of well-traveled and well-educated experts in their fields and respective cities, is a prestigious annual contest.
“We are thrilled to have our favored holiday shopping event, Candlelight Shopping, included among the nominees for USA Today’s 10Best Holiday Markets,” Partnership for Haddonfield Retail Recruiter Remi Fortunato said. “Now more than ever, we invite everyone to shop local and safely enjoy our historic Downtown — making memories while shopping, dining, and embracing festive fun this upcoming holiday season.”

This year’s event will take place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. starting Friday, Nov. 27. It will run through Dec. 18, with special Candlelight Shopping additional event for last-minute shoppers on Dec. 22.
Merchants along Kings Highway and Haddonfield's charming side streets — which include Mechanic Street, Ellis Street, Tanner Street, Haddy Lane, Kings Court, and Haddon Avenue — will also have in-store festivities and town-wide twinkling décor. Parking is free in the downtown from Thanksgiving through Christmas Day.
Downtown Haddonfield is adhering to state guidelines by requiring visitors to wear masks indoors, not only for their safety but for the safety of others around them. Masks should also be worn outdoors when six feet of social distance cannot be practiced. Social distancing should be maintained between visitors wherever possible, and hand sanitizing protocols should be practiced.
The Partnership for Haddonfield (PfH), the management corporation for Haddonfield's business improvement district, thanks all who have shown support to the businesses by shopping in-store and online, buying gift certificates, taking part in virtual experience classes, or choosing to dine or take-out or delivery from Haddonfield's food and beverage establishments.
