Maison Marcellé Brings French Fashion To New Jersey
The shop, opened by Andréa Marcellé in 2017, sells French clothing, shoes and accessories, and offers private parties and personal stylists.
HADDONFIELD — Looking for a French-inspired shopping experience where patrons are greeted with a "bonjour" while Édith Piaf music plays throughout the store?
Maison Marcellé Boutique, located at 134 Kings Highway East in Haddonfield, offers just that.
“When planning the aesthetic of Maison Marcellé, I wanted it to feel like the sort of salon where Marie Antoinette and the Ladies of her Court would linger in luxury," boutique owner Andréa Marcellé said in a press release.

Marcelle has owned and operated the boutique since 2017 after retiring from a 30-year executive corporate career, according to the press release. Her boutique pairs women of all sizes and abilities with clothes that they'll look – and feel – great in.
Not only are there cast iron racks and vintage armoires full of clothes, but the shop has vintage accessories; a shoe collection that spans two centuries; a Salon de Chapeaux with organza hats, beaded clothes, French berets and fascinators; and a fragrance collection as well, the press release said.

Where does Marcellé find the over 1,500 pieces of French couture that make up her store?
Not only does she travel to Paris several times a year to curate her collections, but she has industry connections that allow her to access New York City's best vintage and upscale resale, she said in the press release. Marcellé completes her collection by scouring luxury estates and brocante markets up and down the East Coast.
"Quality pieces in want of their next adventure often go overlooked," Marcellé explained. "My job is to hunt them down and find them an adoring home."
Maison Marcellé Boutique is decorated with gold Rocco-style fixtures, marble tabletops, tasseled brocade draperies, Versailles-inspired chandeliers and several mirrors, the press release said.
Marcellé adorns it with fresh flowers and provides pink champagne and chocolate bonbons to all of her guests.
In addition to opening almost daily, Marcellé coordinates events for private groups, the press release said. At such events, guests enjoy French-inspired music and snack on Parisian sweets, and each one receives an individualized style consult.
Maison Marcellé Boutique opens at 11 a.m. each day from Wednesday to Sunday, according to its website. It closes at 6 p.m. on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, 9 p.m. on Fridays and 5 p.m. on Sundays.
