Major Changes For Haddonfield's Bread Board Plus Amid Pandemic

HADDONFIELD, NJ — A longtime Haddonfield institution has undergone a major makeover. The Bread Board Plus has been in Haddonfield for more than 35 years, and has now been repurposed for fast and efficient takeout and delivery amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Jason Wiseley, who has been operating the business since 2006, decided the time was right to make some changes, given the restrictions that have been put in place during the pandemic.

“The writing was on the wall,” Wiseley said. “The days of self-serve salad bars and soup stations were over. We took a hard look at every part of our operation, ultimately determining that we needed to make some changes. Our long history in our former location does make the pivot a bit bittersweet, but we’re proud of what we’ve built, and we hope that our community will be too. Aside from the new digs and a slight shift in our model, the friendly faces, the menu, and our commitment to quality and service will all remain the same.”

So he moved next door to where he was located, and made sure to keep the menu the same while ramping up his business, according to the Partnership for Haddonfield (PfH).

Some highlights include a brand-new kitchen and streamlined ordering options, including self-serve kiosks for customers who choose to stop in to place take-out orders.

Diners will also have the option to order online through The Bread Board’s website, or from a mobile device via the Toast Take-out App. Curbside pick-up and contactless delivery have been options throughout the pandemic and will remain available into the future.

Best known for their sliced-to-order subs, over-sized sandwiches & homemade soups and salads, The Bread Board Plus also specializes in corporate catering, with delivery to the South Jersey and Philadelphia regions.
