
Mary Ann Gant(nee Quinn), 84, formerly a longtime resident of Westmont and Shamon, died Thursday at Collingswood Manor retirement home, in Collingswood.
For sixty years, she was the beloved and devoted wife of Alan L. Gant; and mother of of Richard J. Gant, Debra A. Gant (William Eisenhart) and Barbara Kinner (Gregory). She is also survived by her sister, Catherine Dailey, niece and goddaughter Donna Leonard nephew Kevin Dailey and her grandkitty Ashley.
Mrs. Gant received her bachelor’s degree and later her master’s degree from Trenton State College. She taught business education in Freehold, Salem and Gloucester County Community College and was an executive assistant at Aramark in Philadelphia.

For a number of years Mrs. Gant served as secretary of the Pinelands Young at Heart Club. She was an avid Phillies fan, loved travelling, old classic movies, reading and was an accomplished pianist in her younger years.
Mrs. Gant’s family will receive friends on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the Kain Murphy Funeral Home where a service will follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Colestown Cemetery, Cherry Hill. In thanksgiving, the family would appreciate memorial donations to the Collingswood Manor Resident Council, care of Employee Christmas Fund, 460 Haddon Ave., Collingswood, NJ 08108.
