HADDONFIELD, NJ — Haddonfield police have acquired a new vehicle that is environmentally and fiscally responsible, the police department announced.

“The police department recently took possession of a brand new 2020 Hybrid Police Interceptor,” police said in a statement on social media. “In an effort to be more environmentally and fiscally responsible, Chief Cutler and DPS Bianco Bezich authorized the purchase that is expected to save thousands upon thousands of dollars in fuel savings over the life of the vehicle not to mention reducing the department’s ‘carbon footprint.’ We are proud to be one of the only police departments in South Jersey to take this initiative.”

“Our Haddonfield Police Department is working hard to make a positive impact locally and globally with the latest addition to its fleet,” Haddonfield Commissioner Colleen Bianco Bezich said. She pointed out that in addition to a smaller carbon footprint and increased savings for the borough, the vehicle gives Haddonfield police, “Increased capacity for hauling equipment and community-building tools.”
