HADDON TOWNSHIP, NJ — A possibly hazardous substance was discovered at Haddon Township High School on Friday, authorities announced.

Haddon Township police responded to the school on Friday following reports of a potentially hazardous substance at the school, according to Acting Prosecutor Jill S. Mayer and Haddon Township Police Chief Mark Cavallo.

It wasn’t clear what the substance was, but authorities said there is no danger to the public. No one was injured.

The Camden County Prosecutor’s Office and the Camden County HAZMAT Team also responded, but all agencies have since departed the scene, according to authorities.

The building was evacuated for less than 30 minutes, according to CBS 3.
