Road Work To Close Hinchman Avenue In Haddonfield For 2 Days

Crews from Key Engineers will clean the storm drainage system on North and South Hinchman Avenue in Haddonfield on Wednesday and Thursday.

HADDONFIELD, NJ — Crews from Key Engineers will clean the storm drainage system on North and South Hinchman Avenue in Haddonfield on Wednesday and Thursday, Camden County officials announced Tuesday evening.

The project is expected to require stretches of both North and South Hinchman Avenue to be completely closed while crews are at work.

“Road closures can affect traffic patterns throughout the surrounding area as motorists shift along detours and alternate routes, so it’s important to be aware of this project and how it may impact your typical commute,” Camden County Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli Jr. said. “Always plan ahead and be alert for sudden stops, construction vehicles, and debris that may end up in the roadway.”

North Hinchman Avenue will be closed between Homestead Avenue and Kings Highway West from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. both days. South Hinchman Avenue will be closed between Station Avenue and Chews Landing Road at the same time. Posted detours will direct motorists along an alternate route circumventing the project.

The project is scheduled to be finished by 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2020. Scheduling and project timing is dependent on weather and may be adjusted due to unforeseen events.
