Young Haddonfield Actress Performs in 'Shrek The Musical'

Mia Bompensa performs on the Walnut mainstage in Shrek the Musical - playing now through January 5.

Based on the DreamWorks film, Shrek is the story of a reclusive ogre who finds himself on a life-changing journey alongside a wisecracking donkey and a feisty princess. Complete with new songs and an outrageous cast of fairytale characters, this hilarious musical is entertainment for children and adults alike.

Mia Bompensa is a student at Haddonfield Middle School and a member of children’s ensemble in Shrek the Musical. This production marks Mia’s second appearance on the Walnut stage, having previously performed in 2017 as one of the orphans in Annie. In addition to an accomplished actor, Mia is quite an athlete. She plays soccer and is a second-degree black belt in karate and teaches classes at United martial Arts Academy. Mia also creates and sells one-line drawing of animals, donating half of the money to Lilo’s Promise – an animal adoption agency.
