NJ 33rd District Legislative Primary Results: Lopsided Totals
Democrats pulled more than 12,000 votes each for their nominations to legislative seats, while Republicans pulled fewer than 1,000 each.

NORTH JERSEY — Polls closed at 8 p.m. for the 33rd District New Jersey Primary Election races to determine which candidates would get the Democratic and Republican nominations to run in November for a state Senate seat and two Assembly seats.
The races within each party were uncontested, but political observers often look to the vote tallies as an early indicator of support before November.
If the below results are any indication, the Republicans have a long way to go by Nov. 2 if they want to overtake the incumbent Democrats in Hudson County.

The 33rd District covers Hoboken, part of Jersey City, Weehawken, and Union City.

- Agha Kahn (R): 964
Assembly Candidates (For Two Seats)
- Raj Mukherji (incumbent) (D): 12,811
- Annette Chaparro (incumbent) (D): 12,891
- Marcos Marte (R): 964
- Jacob Curtis (R): 953
