Batters Up, Hoboken: Baseball Poetry Event Will Include Ed Charles Of 1969 ‘Miracle Mets’
The Hoboken event will include an all-star lineup of poetry readings about the national pastime.

HOBOKEN, NJ —The Hoboken Historical Museum will host “Batter Up! The Poetry of Baseball,” an “all-star” lineup of poetry readings that each feature a unique perspective on the national pastime, at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 15.
According to the museum, the two-hour public event will feature eight contemporary poets and writers reading a selection of their own work. Among the notable writers taking part this year are Quincy Troupe, Ed Charles, Elinor Nauen, Frank Messina, Mikhail Horowitz, Nick Acocella, and Danny Shot. Actors from the Mile Square Theatre will also read a short play by Ellen Margolis from the theater’s annual 7th Inning Stretch.
