And although it's still uncertain where the city's permanent garage will be, one business is surely moving to the uptown area:Â Pilsener Haus & Biergarten will open at 1422 Grand St. this Fall.Â
There's no lack of bars in Hoboken, but this will be the first outdoor authentic biergarten in the Mile Square. According to a press release about the opening the bar will have a "brewery-like environment, old-world motif" and it will serve "authentic European food and beer."

The three owners of the bar, Petr Jurecka, Ladi Sebestyan and Andi Ivanov, said their vision for the place includes "wide open space under the trees, 20-foot-long communal tables that will offer a relaxed unpretentious atmosphere that will coincide with the history of biergartens' originating in Europe. It will be a natural cultural habit that people of all ages and statuses will gather to have a good pint of beer in a fun, and friendly environment."
Pilsener Haus & Biergarten will provide more than 18 varieties of beer on draft, a selection of 30-40 bottled beers, two grills serving German-style sausages along with a kitchen menu, and will host live music twice a week.Â
