Bike Theft Interrupted

A custodian saw a man allegedly cut the cables of two locked bicycles, police said.

An unknown man attempted to steal two secured bikes at 619 Adams St. on Monday around noon, according to police reports.

The man—who wasn't arrested and hasn't been identified—was seen fiddling with a lock to try to remove the bicycle, police said.

The custodian of the building saw the man, police said, and the suspected bike thief fled the scene.
