City Council Adopts Budget; Public Workshops to Follow
The roughly $105 million document was adopted by the city council on Wednesday night.

After a brief presentation, the Hoboken City Council adopted the 2013 budget on Wednesday night.
This doesn't mean the budget was approved.
A series of workshops will be held, during which the separate departments will introduce their own budgets.

The first of those three meetings will be on Saturday afternoon and are open to the public.
The tax levy is roughly the same as last year, at $51 million. But because the levy is now spread over more people, it will result in a 2 percent tax cut.
