City Hires New Directors

A new parking director and a permanent construction officer was hired.

The city has hired a new parking utility director as well as a permanent construction official.

Both started their jobs on Monday, said spokesman Juan Melli.

John Morgan, who previously worked at the Department of Parking Services in Westfield, will fill former Director Ian Sacs' position.

Morgan will earn $103,000 annually.

Mario Patruno is the new construction official, permanently filling Al Arezzo's position.

Patruno already worked for the city as the electrical subcode official and has served as acting construction official. 

Patruno will earn an annual salary of $97,200, a base of $90,000 and 8 percent longevity that amounts to $7,200.
