Classes Canceled, Officials Still Looking for New Space in Wake of Fire at Hoboken Charter School
Classes were canceled for Friday and Monday as a result of Thursday morning's blaze.

In wake of Thursday morning's fire at the Hoboken Charter School, officials from the Board of Education as well as the city were still arranging relocation of roughly 190 students on Friday morning.Â
Classes were canceled on Friday as well as Monday, Sept. 10., for the K through 8th grade students of the school.Â
"School administrators and board members are presently looking at and evaluating various options for interim instructional space in Hoboken for the K-8 classes," said George Cahn, from Cahn Communications, who is also a parent at the Hoboken Charter School.Â

On Thursday, sources with knowledge of the situation, said it was likely that at least part of the students will be housed in at the Wallace School. Those trailers can house between 80 and 100 students.Â
Some other students could be relocated to the Brandt School.Â

A fire, of which the cause is still unknown, at the Hoboken Charter School and caused significant fire, smoke and water damage to the school.Â
