Coming Up This Week in Hoboken

It's mid September, everyone is back to school and back to work after a hot summer. 

Let us help you plan your week. 

On Monday and Tuesday it's rosh hashanah, a happy and healthy new year to Hoboken's Jewish residents. For more information on services, check out the United Synagogue of Hoboken's website.

On Tuesday night, at the Turtle Club, the Rotary is holding its fundraiser to benefit the Hoboken Charter School. 

Tuesday will also be the first day of classes since the Charter School's fire a week and a half ago. The roughly 200 students are relocating to Jersey City. 

Wednesday night, the city council meets for its second September meeting. On the agenda - among other things - is a bond ordinance to construct the 9/11 memorial on Pier A Park. 

Farmers' markets are back this week, entering the final weeks of fresh produce on Tuesdays (downtown) and Thursdays (uptown). The farmers markets run from 3 to 7:30 p.m. 

We told you last week that the Manzo Brothers are opening a restaurant. This week we will try to get more information for you and keep you updated.
