Alleged Con Man Who Duped Hoboken High School Students Arrested
The Cherry Hill Police Department arrested Dexter Davis.
The con-artist who allegedly duped some Hoboken High School students was arrested in Cherry Hill yesterday, according to Lt. Mark Competello from the Hoboken Police Department.Â
According to a Cherry Hill police report, Davis was arrested in a Dunkin Donuts Sunday afternoon.Â
According to a police report about the accident on May 21, students were asked to sell raffle tickets and folders on the street, for a drawing that never took place and for a company that doesn't exist. Davis even met with some students in McDonald's after school.Â

Davis handed out business cards with his name, his cell phone number and the name of the (fictitious) company, according to police reports.Â
Davis will eventually come back to Hudson County Superior Court to answer the charges (theft by deception and wrongful impersonation) against him from the Hoboken Police Department, Competello said.Â
