Council Briefs: City to Replace Its 24 Copiers for $213,929

A resolution for $213,929.28 was approved on Wednesday.

Copying something at City Hall is about to get easier.

The City Council approved a resolution on Wednesday to replace all of the copiers in its municipal buildings for $213,929.

Stephen Marks, the assistant business director, said that the cost covers a one to one replacement for 24 copiers. It also includes the machines at police and fire headquarters.

Marks said that the current Ricoh copiers "are not very well maintained."

The city has had the same copiers for the past eight years.

After some grilling from the city council, Marks said that the city "definitely need(s) them."
