Downtown Street Closures Expected to Last Through Friday Morning Rush Hour

A message from the city:

Due to ongoing repair work at Newark Street and Jackson Street, road closures are expected to continue at least through the Friday morning rush hour, and drivers are advised to avoid Southwest Hoboken if possible and allow extra time to reach their destination.

Monroe Street is closed south of Observer Highway, Newark Street is closed west of Monroe Street, and Jersey Avenue is closed north of 18th street in Jersey City. Alternate routes in southern Hoboken include Grove Street and Marin Boulevard.
