HOBOKEN, NJ — Actor and New Jersey native Andrew McCarthy is touring the country — virtually — to promote his recently released tell-all memoir, Brat. In the book, McCarthy talks about failed auditions, dangerous addictions, and keeping his distance from costars Molly Ringwald and Jon Cryer.
The actor gained fame starting in the 1980s by appearing in various coming-of-age sagas including "Pretty in Pink," "St. Elmo's Fire," and "Class."
This Thursday (July 1) at 8 p.m., he appears in conversation with actor and Hoboken resident Matt Lawler, thanks to Hoboken independent bookstore Little City Books.
