Five Sworn in as Class II Police Officers

The Hoboken Police Department has five new Class II police officers.

Five Class II police officers were sworn in during a public ceremony on Tuesday afternoon.

Less than 24 hours after the fatal bombing at the Boston Marathon, those in attendance emphasized the importance of first responders and public safety.

Christopher Barral, Maurice Johnson, Michael Camporeale, Michael Kula, and Tyrone Huggins are now part of the Hoboken Police Department.

Class II officers work for the department part-time and are called upon on special events and weekends.

"I want you to be proud to wear this uniform," said Police Chief Anthony Falco. "We're the best police department and the best city in the entire United States."
