Another Flood Advisory Issued For Hoboken Area
For the second night in a row, the NWS has issued a flood advisory for the Hoboken area. Find out how long rain will last on Sunday.
HOBOKEN, NJ — For the second day in a row, the National Weather Service issued a coastal flooding advisory, lasting from 10 p.m. Saturday evening until 2 a.m. Sunday. Additionally, rain is expected throughout Sunday.
The next high tide for the Hudson River near Hoboken Saturday night is 12:16 a.m.
The NWS said low-lying and coastal roads and basements will experience "minor flooding."

The advisory — for Hudson County, as well as eastern Essex and eastern Union counties — said, "Up to one foot of inundation above ground level expected in vulnerable areas near the waterfront and shoreline."

'Minor Flooding Is Expected'
The NWS warned, "Minor flooding is expected in the more vulnerable locations near the waterfront and shoreline. Some roads and low lying properties including parking lots, parks, lawns, and homes and businesses with basements near the waterfront will experience minor flooding."
Precautionary Actions
"If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone
property."
Forecast For Memorial Day Weekend
The forecast is:
Saturday Night: Rain, mainly after 8pm. Low around 47. Northeast wind around 16 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
Sunday: Rain. High near 52. Northeast wind 14 to 17 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.
Sunday Night: Rain likely before 2am, then a chance of drizzle or light rain after 2am. Cloudy, with a low around 49. North wind 7 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
Memorial Day: A chance of drizzle or light rain before 8 am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 71. Northwest wind 7 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.
