Former Mayor To Be Sentenced in Newark Federal Court

Peter Cammarano, who served as the mayor of Hoboken for about three weeks in July, 2009, will be sentenced today in Newark Federal Court. 

At 11 a.m., Federal Judge Jose Linares will decide the former Mayor's sentence. Cammarano, 33, pleaded guilty to extortion in April, and will likely be serving between 24 and 30 months in federal prison.
