Gunshots Heard on Grand Street in Hoboken

Nobody was arrested, police said.

Shots may have been fired in Hoboken around 2:30 a.m. on Sunday, police said.

Hoboken police received a call from a woman, who told police that she had heard a man and a woman fighting, followed by what sounded like gun shots, according to the police reports.

The incident happened in front of 420 Grant St., police said.

The woman who called about the noise n the incident said she was sitting in her living room when she heard a man and a woman arguing in front of her window, which faces Grand Street. She told police she heard the woman say "stop shooting," after which two or three more possible gun shots followed. 

The woman didn’t go to the window to see what’s happening and the two people left, police said, before she could get a description of the two.

Another witness said he heard loud shots from behind the building, police said.

Police searched the area for bullets or other evidence, but none were found. No arrests were made.
