HOBOKEN, NJ — The Hoboken hawk may be back… or at least one that looks like it.
On Friday, Hoboken resident Chuck Thompson spotted the below pictured avian near the intersection of 11th Street and Park Avenue.

A year ago, a possibly injured hawk made headlines when it was seen perching on trees and fire escapes around First Street. Could it be the same bird spotted on Friday?

"Doesn't look injured to me," Thompson said.

Hawk sightings in Hoboken may be rare, but there have been several past instances of birds of prey being seen in the area.

A hawk was spotted in December near Benny Tudino’s pizza restaurant on Washington Street, the Hudson Reporter stated.
Another hawk – which was reportedly seen eating a rabbiton 5th and Sinatra Drive - was featured on Hoboken 411 in 2007.
