Rain Cancels 'Frozen' Drive-In Movie In Hoboken (Sorry, Anna)
Read on for the schedules for other movies, and the "Summer Streets" schedule through October.
HOBOKEN, NJ — The city of Hoboken has announced a slate of drive-in movies at the Hoboken Business Center in the southwest corner of town. However, the first showing — "Frozen," slated for Thursday night, has been postponed because of rain. It will be rescheduled to a later date, the city said.
As per the schedule below, another showing of "Frozen" is scheduled for Saturday. Tickets must be purchased in advance. www.hobokennj.gov/register
The city, which often discourages residents from keeping a car in the city, said they are not aware of any similar cultural events coming up in the near future that don't require cars.

All attendees must wear a mask when not in their cars.
Portable toilets with hand sanitizer will be on site.
Enter at Harrison St., Exit via New York Ave.
In case of rain, movie will be cancelled and rescheduled. Cancellation will be announced by 4pm day of show. Check City of Hoboken Facebook and Twitter for updates.

Summer streets
In partnership with the Hoboken Business Alliance, the city is continuing the “Summer Streets” and “Open Streets” programs in September and through the first week of October, to continue to provide additional room for social distanced activities, dining and patronizing of local businesses.
Open Streets, which is restricted to pedestrian and bike traffic only, will occur on Washington Street every Thursday and Saturday from 6 pm until 11 pm, and on Sundays from noon to 8 pm.
- September 10, 12 and 13: Washington Street from 5th Street to 8th Street.
- September 17, 19 and 20: Washington Street from Newark Street to 2nd Street.
- September 24, 26 and 27: Washington Street from 8th Street to 11th Street.
- October 1, 3 and 4: Washington Street from 2nd Street to 5th Street.
- Every Saturday and Sunday in September and October: 1st Street from Washington Street to Garden Street, as well as Sinatra Drive from Newark Street to 4th Street with extended hours between noon to 11 p.m.
