Hoboken Woman Arrested after Throwing Hot Coffee in Passerby's Face, Police Say

A Union City woman was arrested and charged by Hoboken police on Wednesday.

Hoboken police arrested 42-year-old Linda Krieg on Wednesday, after she allegedly threw hot coffee in the face of a Union City woman.

The incident occured in front of BCB Bank on Washington Street a little before noon on Wednesday, according to the police report.

According to police, Krieg often walks into BCB Community Bank to take some of the free coffee there, which is intended for the bank's clients.

When she walked in on Wednesday, Krieg took another cup and was asked to leave. When she yelled obscenities and was removed, she became angry and allegedly threatened to hurt the bank's security guard, police said.

Once outside, Krieg allegedly threw the hot coffee in the face of a 21-year-old woman who was walking by.

While ambulance workers attended to the victim — who had red marks in her face from the hot coffee, police said — officers arrested Krieg. 

Krieg was charged with aggravated assault and disorderly conduct, police said.
