Hoboken Train Station Area To Get Gregory's Coffee Shop In Fall

The shop will join numerous java options near the train station, within a few blocks of each other. It's tentatively set for October.

HOBOKEN, NJ — The blocks near the Hoboken train terminal aren't lacking in coffee shops, including both local shops and larger chains. Besides Starbucks, the area has a quaint Bean Vault near the waterfront (pictured below), as well as Joboken (right next to the station) and Simply Chai.

Bean Vault Coffee is among the java options near the Hoboken train terminal and waterfront. Now another shop will join the fray.

Now the area is going to get another option, part of a smaller chain.

Zamfotis said Thursday, "We’ve had our eye on Hoboken for years! Why? The community, the energy, the history, the unbelievable waterfront...to be honest, it was getting hard to find a reason why we shouldn’t be there; we just had to find the right space. When we saw the corner of River and First, we knew right then, we had to have it."

He noted, "As a family-run company, it is important to us that our spaces to become ingrained in the community. We will bring amazing coffee, house-made pastries (including many incredible plant-based options) and all the positive vibes it can handle. We can’t wait to meet everyone. We’ve been exploring some new design elements within our cafes. Our Hoboken location will not only be the purest expression of our new look, but we have also upgraded our layout to maximize the guest experience and provide a generous seating arrangement that works whether we are social distancing or not."

They hope to open in late October, Zamfotis said.

On their website, they call their fans "Gregulars."

Besides coffee drinks, the chain offers baked goods, breakfast sandwiches, oatmeal, juices, fruit, teas, and hot chocolate.

They recently reopened one of their shops in Times Square.
