Mayor Zimmer Hires Hoboken Resident as New Chief of Staff
The Hoboken resident is a former Director of Community Relations for a U.S. Representative and the Chair of the Queens Democratic Party.

Mayor Dawn Zimmer has hired Vijay Chaudhuri to serve as the new Chief of Staff for the City of Hoboken.
Chaudhuri most recently worked as Director of Community Relations for U.S. Representative Joseph Crowley, the Chair of the Queens Democratic Party representing New York’s 14th Congressional District which includes parts of Queens and the Bronx.
“I look forward to working closely with Mr. Chaudhuri in the years ahead to make Hoboken an even greater place to live and work,” said Mayor Dawn Zimmer. “His experience and knowledge of Hoboken will be a tremendous asset as we bring many exciting projects for our community to fruition.”

The new Chief of Staff is also a Hoboken resident. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from Wesleyan University.
