Hoboken Memorial Day Parade 2019 Will Honor Fallen Veterans
Hoboken will honor its fallen military veterans on Wednesday, May 22.
HOBOKEN, NJ — Hoboken will see the 121st incarnation of its annual Memorial Day Parade in honor of fallen military veterans on Wednesday, May 22.
The parade will assemble at 6 p.m. near City Hall at 1st and Washington streets, and will proceed north on Washington Street at 6:30 p.m. to the reviewing stand on 10th and Washington streets in front of the Hoboken Elks Lodge.
Typically, Washington Street closes to traffic south of 11th Street from 6 to 7 p.m. and NJ Transit buses operate on a detour along Bloomfield Street and Hudson Street, hMAG reported.

This year’s grand marshal is Jim Vance, a decorated Vietnam Veteran who flew 1,600 hours of combat time for the United States Army and is the recipient of the Distinguished Flying Cross, Bronze Star, Purple Heart, and the Air Medal with 24 Oak Leaf Clusters.
Vance, a longstanding member of the Fund for a Better Waterfront, urged people to attend the parade and “take time to remember and reflect.”
