Hoboken To Paint 4 Rainbow Crosswalks, Raise Pride Flag Saturday
Hoboken will paint four rainbow crosswalks for Pride Month and raise the Pride Flag on Saturday. All are invited.

HOBOKEN, NJ — In celebration of World Pride Month, Mayor Ravi Bhalla invites Hoboken residents to join in the raising of the Pride Flag above Hoboken City Hall on Saturday at 12:30 p.m.
The city will also repaint four crosswalks with Pride colors at Newark Street and Washington Street near City Hall, with volunteers welcome to participate.

“Hoboken is once again proudly raising the Pride Flag in recognition of World Pride Month,” said Mayor Bhalla. “I invite residents to join us on Saturday, as we stand with our LGBTQ+ community and celebrate Hoboken’s diversity, and repaint our crosswalks with the colors of the Pride Flag.”
In December of 2020, Mayor Bhalla announced the City of Hoboken once again received a perfect 100% rating from the Human Right’s Campaign’s (HRC) Municipal Equality Index (MEI), an annual examination of policies relating to LGBTQ+ laws and cities in over 500 municipalities across the United States.
