Hoboken Seeks Focus Group Members for Branding Panel

The city is looking for residents with marketing and design experience to assist with First Street revitalization and citywide signage

The city of Hoboken is putting together a focus group to help with the First Street revitalization project, which includes a plan to install branded signs to help visitors find major points of interest.

The city is looking to assemble a group of residents with design and marketing expertise to give feedback on the signage that will be used in the citywide wayfinding signs. The signs will be used to help visitors find parks, government buildings, transit points, restaurants and other attractions and services.

Residents interested in participating in the panel should send an email by Feb. 6 to submissions@hobokennj.gov. Participants in the panel should be about to participate in meetings and discussions from Feb. 16 through March.

The city recently held its first public meeting to get community feedback on the proposed revitalization project.

The revitalization is being funded by an $880,000 in grant money made available after Hoboken was devastated by the impact of Hurricane Sandy, leaving 80 percent of the city underwater.
