Hoboken Shake Shack Announces Opening Date: April

The newest store in the popular burger and shake chain is set to open the second week in April, a spokesman said Wednesday.

HOBOKEN, NJ — It's burger time in America. A representative for the new Shake Shack store in Hoboken said Wednesday that the store will open during the second week in April.

The burger and milkshake chain will occupy the ground floor of the newly developed apartment building at 107-111 Washington St., at the foot of Hoboken's main street, six blocks from the Hoboken train terminal.

Michael Rawlins, the vice president of RIPCO real estate, confirmed the expected opening in an email Wednesday.

The chain started in Manhattan in 2001 and serves up burgers, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, 'shroom burgers, fries, floats, and five flavors of shakes.

The chain has more than 100 stores in the U.S. and around the world.
