Hoboken Skydiver Captures Gold With Stunning Mid-Air Tricks (VIDEO)

Watch New Jersey competitive skydiver Michelle Karamon jump out of a perfectly good airplane and do some amazing mid-air tricks.

HOBOKEN, NJ — There aren’t many good reasons to jump out of a perfectly good airplane. But New Jersey competitive skydiver Michelle Karamon has a few.

Karamon, a Hoboken resident, won gold last week in advanced four-way formation skydiving at the 2017 U.S. Parachute Association (USPA) National Skydiving Championships at Skydive Perris in California.

Karamon and her team, “Ranch 2nd Generation,” are based out of Skydive the Ranch in Gardiner, New York.

The National Skydiving Championships drew more than 500 of the country’s top skydivers, each of whom jumped more than two miles above the ground. Once airborne, the skydivers partook in a race against the clock to form “prescribed geometric formations” in freefall before opening their parachutes.
