Hoboken's Cake Boss Offers Rainbow Cake At Chain Restaurant

While recovering from a bowling injury, Buddy Valastro is keeping his fingers busy, debuting a six-layer cake at TGI Fridays.

HOBOKEN, NJ — Buddy "Cake Boss" Valastro, the owner of Carlo's Bakery in Hoboken and the franchises he has added in other cities, has some good news to share as he continues recovering from a hand injury.

Starting Tuesday, the TGI Fridays restaurant chain is serving up his six-layer rainbow-colored vanilla cake.

"Cake lovers can enjoy a slice of cake in the restaurant or for carry-out, guests can also order the entire cake to go," said a press release for the chain. "Fridays is the only restaurant to partner with Valastro and his famous bakery, Carlo’s. Cake lovers now have easy access to one of Buddy’s delicious cakes."

Valastro also recently announced that he's going to be in a new Food Network show called Buddy vs. Christmas on Nov. 22.

Carlo's Bakery is located at First and Washington streets in Hoboken, across from City Hall. TGI Fridays has locations in Hackensack, Wayne, and Linden.
