Homeless Man Found in Uptown Hoboken After Alleged Robbery, Assault

The man was found on Wednesday and claimed he had been assaulted, according to police reports.

A 39-year-old homeless man was found in front of the Malibu Diner on Wednesday afternoon. 

The man told police he had been struck from behind to his had and had lost consciousness, according to the report. When he woke up, according to the report, the man's shoes and cell phone were missing. 

The man had wounds to his face that appeared to be a few days old, according to the police report on the matter.

The 39-year-old had allegedly been involved in an incident in the Weehawken Sheraton Hotel, police said. 

Other eye witnesses told police officers that they had seen the man along the waterfront in Weehawken, yelling loudly, according to the report.
